Lady Gaga has confirmed that she suffers from chronic pain condition, fibromyalgia.
In a tweet sent today, the singer said that her new documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, would raise awareness for the condition and “connect people who have it.”

This is the first time that Gaga has publically acknowledged the condition.
Her battle with fibromyalgia will be documented in her new documentary set to land on Netflix on September 22.
In the trailer, the star can be seen wincing in pain as a doctor tends to her shoulder.
Fans first started speculating about Gaga’s health last year when she posted a photo on Instagram with the caption:
“Having a frustrating day with chronic pain, but I find myself feeling so blessed to have such strong intelligent female doctors. I think about Joanne too and her strength and the day gets a little easier.”
The singer was also forced to cancel several tour dates in 2013 due to joint inflammation.
Gaga: Five Foot Two premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday.
